In otherwords, her time has stopped another metaphor to her death. Utropiosphere shows her sitting on a device while an hourglass is tipped on its side behind her. The next two songs, Parallel Universe and Utropiosphere, represent time (well duh). In other words, all of this is inside of her head- an imaginative world she made by her subconscious, kinda like how a person creates dreams. Also, please note that in the picture she is inside what looks to be a crown- which can also be another word for someone’s head, like the interpretation of Da Vinci’s painting The Creation of Adam. In the window it shows the growth of the tree, and music notes- which represents what she’s waiting for, and how she will get to that goal. It shows the girl in a white gown praying in front of a stained glass window- like a church.

The mood of the songs also represent a sweet start of friendship by getting to know each other.Īfter that is the song Platinum which has a meaning that’s quite obvious if you look at the picture close enough. The next two songs ( Light Pollution and Undo) represent Deemo showing her around and her exploring the castle for herself. And in addition to this, she’s falling head first in the picture because she’s not in control. But maybe she’s dead because flowers are what would be put surrounding the coffin during her funeral. But I hope she’s not dead yet since she’s (possibly) wearing a white hospital gown. Another idea is that it’s actually showing her nearing death. One of which is that it’s just showing her falling into Deemo’s castle like the story suggests. I found it quite peculiar that flowers lined the bottom of her dress. Nine Point Eight shows the girl falling head first from the window in a plain white dress.

The next songs of Deemo’s collection is where the mysterious girl joins in. Wings of Piano shows that he gets the privilege of finally get his hands on the piano. Jumping Star somewhat demonstrates that he ventured through the world to help cure his loneliness.

The next song is Evolution Era, where Deemo somehow learned how to read and play music. The album cover of the song illustrate him looking at his long fingers (it’s one of a pianist’s dream to have long fingers to press distant keys simultaneously with one hand. Reflection is a realization of his potential as a pianist. Kinda like how Rapunzel feels about being imprisoned inside her tower for 17.9 years.ĭream clearly shows that Deemo wanted to climb his way out the window above his ceiling. The first five songs shows how lonely Deemo is and longs to explore what the outside world looks like and learns something new. I’D SUGGEST THAT YOU BOOKMARK THIS AND FINISH THE GAME FIRST BEFORE READING. If you have ever played Deemo then you’re probably aware that its story began when a mysterious girl in a white dress fell from a ceiling window and a lonely & friendly black creature came to the rescue gently catching her. Out of curiosity of the game’s dreamy environment, I did some looking around in the game and I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out what happened to the girl. The interpretation is actually an extremely depressing and a sad story, despite the game’s cheerful cover-ups for some of the songs. I was able to finish the game after a week but the ‘ending’ kept me hanging.

On 1 July, the first full day under the new laws, about 10 people were arrested, including some for carrying or waving a flag bearing the slogan. The phrase “Liberate Hong Kong, the revolution of our times” had been an increasingly common slogan at Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protests, but was outlawed as seditious content under the draconian national security laws imposed by Beijing late last month. Lam said he had worked for Rayark since 2014, producing musical works for various games. “We are extremely sorry for the adverse effects caused by this and we strongly condemn the actions of the composer,” it said. Following the backlash, Lam resigned from Rayark, saying that while the song had no relation to Rayark or his job there, “I raised my resignation so that all criticism regarding this piece of private work could be targeted to me as the creator of this piece of work, not Rayark and my colleagues who didn’t know existence.”ĭragonest Games said on Weibo neither it nor Rayark had knowledge of Lam’s song, and they had accepted his resignation.
